In their words

  • I was very skeptical at first. But I’m amazed at what I’ve learned.
  • All these ideas I’ve had, I can actually go ahead and make them now.
  • It feels like being a manager with a super-smart friend.
  • I appreciated the freedom to build it myself.
  • This is exactly the kind of thinking I want to have more of.

Is this for me?

Yes! And here’s what might be holding you back.

“Coding or AI sound very difficult”

We will help you! It's just like talking to a nice and smart but socially-awkward friend. We already had multiple students who went from zero coding experience to building a full web app.

“AI is not relevant for <insert any career path here>”

AI-era skills are fast becoming a scarce advantage in every field. We are at the early stage and your ability to find those opportunities early will immediately set you apart from your peers!

“I am so busy with classes and work”

Six self-paced sessions of about 45 minutes, roughly 20–30 hours in total across 8–10 weeks. You set the pace.

“I don't know what project to work on”

We have the entire first session dedicated to help you think through it. Many students ended up struggling to choose between many differnt ideas!

FAQ

Questions about the program.

I never used AI before. Can I still join?

Yes. You do not need any prior experience with AI to join. Students at all levels of AI familiarity are welcome. The core goal of the programme is to help you develop AI fluency and apply it meaningfully to real social challenges. We will support you step by step throughout the program.

Who can apply to this program?

The program is open to anyone motivated to create social impact (incl. High school students, college students, and recent graduates). It’s designed especially for students from under-resourced backgrounds (particularly first-generation and low-income communities), but motivation to make a difference is what matters most.

How will this program help my career?

As an AI-fluent changemaker, you will develop future-proof skills such as proactive problem solving and applied AI fluency. These capabilities will enable you to create disproportionate value in any field, whether nonprofit leadership, entrepreneurship, consulting, finance, or technology.

Beyond technical skills, the program's social-impact focus equips you with the mindset and tools to pursue a more purposeful career. No matter which path you choose, you will learn how to translate your work into meaningful impact within your own communities.

What is the time commitment?

Roughly 20–30 hours in total across six sessions, typically over 8–10 weeks. There is no fixed pace. Students progress at their own speed, with an emphasis on learning depth and real-world social impact rather than speed or output volume.

How do the impact-based rewards work?

Participants may earn impact-based rewards of up to $1,000, depending on the scale of their impact they create through the solution (validated by ImpactCorps coach). Rewards are tied to two components:

  1. User impact: $100 for launching a solution for the initial target community, plus $100 for each additional beneficiary who regularly uses the solution, up to $500.
  2. Measured social value: calculated as 10% of the assessed dollar value of realised social impact, up to $500.

The $1,000 cap applies to under-resourced students. Other participants may still earn impact-based rewards, though the cap may be lower.

How would it boost my resume?

The program is structured to help you clearly articulate both the problem you addressed and the impact you created. You will be supported in translating your work into strong resume language, for example: Designed and launched an AI-enabled solution addressing [social problem], serving [X] beneficiaries and generating measurable social impact (equivalent to [$X]).

Where would the program take place?

The program is fully remote.
